/ Development Projects

Every project opens with an engineering problem.

Current and completed R&D projects — documented by objective, test status, and iteration count. No projections without data behind them.

Pipeline — four projects, all documented

• In Test — Iteration 7

Thermal Management Module v2

Opened to resolve thermal runaway under sustained 85°C ambient load in the HW-400 series. Seven test cycles completed; junction temperature variance now within ±2°C of target.

Projected specification: continuous 120W dissipation at 90°C ambient. Links to HW-400 hardware page on release.

• Completed — Iteration 12
• In Test — Iteration 3

Edge Firmware Scheduler — SW-Core

Field Bus Protocol Adapter — FBP-1

Opened to address deterministic latency failures in multi-process deployments above 64 concurrent tasks. Twelve iterations reduced worst-case jitter from 18 ms to under 1.2 ms.

Opened to standardize communication handshake failures observed across three distinct PLC vendors in field deployments. Three test cycles completed; two failure modes eliminated.

Shipped in SW-Core 4.1. Full test log and specification outcomes available on the Software Products page.

Target: sub-5 ms handshake across all certified PLC variants. Projected completion Q3.

• Completed — Iteration 9

Ingress Protection Seal — IP67 Enclosure

Opened after field reports of moisture ingress at the cable entry point under repeated thermal cycling. Nine iterations refined gasket geometry and overmold material selection.

Delivered IP67 certification across -30°C to 85°C operating range. Integrated into HW-200 and HW-400 series enclosures.

Iteration Count Method

How we classify each project

Each count represents a closed test cycle

An iteration increments only when a full test sequence — build, load, measure, compare against acceptance criteria — is completed and logged. Partial runs and configuration changes between cycles are not counted.

In Test: active build cycles underway; test results feeding specification revisions. Iteration count reflects verified test runs, not drafts.

This means a project at iteration 3 has three documented test records, not three weeks of activity. The number is a signal of development maturity, not elapsed time.

Completed: all acceptance criteria met; engineering record closed. Product page linked when available.
